Sustainability - Risk Definition & Risk Matrix

In the Risk Matrix tab, you can create a customized risk matrix using ESG scores from your supply chain, along with any additional risks you’ve identified. On the risk definition pages, you can set probability and consequence levels that align with your company’s risk tolerance, ensuring a clear and structured approach to risk management.

Create Your Risk Matrix

  1. After completing the risk definition table, go to the 'Risk Matrix' tab.
  2. Click the 'Create a Risk Matrix' button.

  3. A new empty matrix will appear. This is normal - no risks have been added yet.

Add Risks in Risk Description Table

  1. Scroll down to the Risk Description section.
  2. Click 'New' to open the risk entry form.
  3. Fill in the details and click 'Add Risk'

  4. After saving, the risk will be automatically plotted on the matrix based on the probability and consequence selected.

Add Action Plans for Each Risk

  1. Scroll below the Risk Description table to the Action Plan section.
  2. Click 'New' to open the action plan form.
  3. Fill in the required details and click 'Add Action Plan'.

Update the Status of a Risk

Once an action plan is completed and mitigation has been performed:

  1. Return to the Risk Description table.
  2. Find the risk you want to update.
  3. Click the three dots (⋮) on the right side and select 'Update Status'.
  4. Fill in the new status (e.g., reduced probability or consequence).
  5. Click 'Add Update to Risk'.

The risk matrix will then update visually:

  • The original risk plot will remain where it was, showing the initial probability and consequence.
  • A new plot will appear in the updated (reduced or increased) position.
  • An arrow will connect the old plot to the new one, showing the direction of change.

Complete Your Risk Matrix

When all risks in a matrix have been mitigated:

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the page.
  2. Click the Complete button.
  3. The risk matrix will be moved to the 'Completed' tab.

There is no limit to how many risks and action plans you can add within a single matrix.
